For a while now I am following the Monday memes from Strawberrysighn and this one I loved so much I decided to give it a shot and do this meme for myself. Hope I won't scare you away after this (>.<)
First of all I'm copying this geek venn diagram and some explanations from strawberry's blog to see better what we are talking about.
So here are the definitions:
- Geek (n.)- Someone who is smart, enjoys video games, comic books, being on the internet, etc… and usually has a passion or hobby that they obsess over.
- Nerd (n.)- A socially awkward person with a very high IQ. They gain pleasure from amassing large quantities of knowledge about subjects often too detailed or complicated for most other people.
- Dork (n.)- Someone who is a bit socially awkward, has odd interests and is often clumsy. Dorks are typically more noted for their quirky personality.
What do you consider yourself to be? Geek? Nerd? Dork? None of the above? All of the above? – It's kinda funny cause when I named my blog "An Adorkable blog" I did not know how well it fitted me in reality. I'm a total dork, no doubt about it. I pass my days on sl with working on clothing, decorating, pictures and blogging. Even if I could just hang with friends I just feel like I have most fun working. And yes, socially awkward, that's me. Some call it "being shy" but I don't know if that's really the word cause some people I never met I connect with instantly and could talk about anything but with others I just wanna run and hide cause I don't know how to behave with them around.
What was the first computer you ever owned? – My first computer is one I will always remember and it's still used by my dad. It's a iMac G4. My bf at that time was a graphic designer and he hated everything that was not mac related so of course I also wanted a Mac. Since last year I converted back to windows cause I have to admit that a lot of things just won't work on Mac.
When and how did you first get on the internet? – Hotmail and msn LoL
Which geek fandom do you subscribe to? – Hmmm, difficult question. I don't really am a fan of anything. I read all Harry Potter books but did not like the movies and never bought anything fan related to Harry. Maybe the Nintendo64 and Mario Bross cause I could play hours on that thing and even when I got the Wii I bought Mario games. When we moved I had to sell my Wii without being able to finish Mario Paper *cries*
